How sheer is too sheer for a wedding?

Sheer panels at the bodice sides, illusion sleeves and lace inserts at the neckline are well-accepted now. Completely transparent panels over bare skin can read costume-y rather than bridal. If you’re unsure, choose illusion mesh in skin-toned or ivory rather than black or starkly white.
